Last month I was invited to a portrait party, organized by the lovely and talented photographer, Anna Wu! What is a portrait party, you ask? It's basically an opportunity for a small group of people to come together, network and hang out while sipping bubbly, and have some new headshots taken in a laid back setting. Such an amazing idea, right?! Everyone who attended contributed something, and because the group was small, we actually had a chance to get to know each other in a genuine way. It was one of the most fun afternoons I've had in a long time - and I HATE having my picture taken!
So who are these lovely ladies? Anna Wu (Anna Wu Photography), the brainchild behind the party, took beautiful photos, as did Praise Santos (Come Plum); Amanda Vidmar (Amanda Vidmar Design) came with gorgeous flowers and decor; Bri Connolly (Brown Fox Calligraphy) made the most amazing hand-lettered name tags and signs; Farrah Taher (Spirit Makeup) did our makeup, and I provided bites and bubbles.
I had been wanting to revamp my own headshots for quite a while so I was beyond excited when Anna invited me to the party, so to speak. Here are a few of my favorites, courtesy of Anna:
Getting to be a part of this little gathering was such a treat, and I loved having the chance to make some new industry friends. If you're in the market for some new creative headshots, give Anna a holler! She will make you feel like a million bucks behind and in front of the camera.
